I signed up and activated my amaysim service online. It went through in the end, but it probably took a bit longer than I expected, and for a while I wasn’t totally sure if it was still processing or had gotten stuck. The steps themselves were straightforward though, and after waiting maybe a little while, the SIM started working. Overall not bad, I just think the activation status could be a bit clearer.

Bottom line, I’d keep using the app. It’s easy to get around and does what I need it to do. I’ve noticed a few small glitches here and there, but nothing that’s really stopped me from using it.

"Quick recharge, no drama at all"
I topped up my amaysim recharge the other day while I was waiting for the kettle to boil, and it was done in a couple of minutes. Payment went through first try, no weird errors or messing around, and my plan updated pretty much straight away. Nice and easy, which is all I really wanted.
"Calls have been clear for me"
I’ve been with amaysim for a while now and, the call quality has been good. I use my phone a lot for work calls and chatting with family, and I haven’t really had issues with dropouts or weird echo. Even when I’m inside the house, it’s usually clear enough. Nothing too fancy to say about it, it just works, which is exactly what I needed.

I ported my number over and, i was expecting some kind of hassle or delay. Maybe I just got lucky, but it went through quickly and I didn’t run into any issues. I kept checking to make sure I hadn’t missed something, but no, it all worked fine

I had a little issue with my account, so I sent support a message, wasn’t expecting much right away. But they got back to me quickly and fixed it without turning it into a whole thing. Super easy in the end, happy with the help, thanks amaysim.
"Simple billing issue took ages to sort out"
I had a billing issue with amaysim that should’ve been simple, but it dragged on way longer than I expected. The first few replies felt really generic, almost like they hadn’t properly read what I wrote, and I had to explain the same thing more than once. That part was weird.
To be fair, they did eventually fix it, but only after I followed up a few times. It wasn’t the worst customer service experience I’ve had, but it was definitely frustrating when all I wanted was a clear answer and a quick fix.

"Coverage is way worse than expected"
I feel a bit misled. I thought the coverage would be decent, but once I get outside of town it barely works at all. The signal drops out so much that it’s frustrating to rely on.

I really like how easy amaysim makes it to keep track of my data. I’m the kind of person who likes to double-check what I’ve got left, just for peace of mind, and the app lays it out clearly enough that I’m not stressing or guessing near the end of the month.
So far I haven’t had any surprise run-outs, which is reassuring. If I need to top up or just check my balance, it only takes a minute. It’s simple, but that’s what I want, and it’s been working well for me.

I’ve been with amaysim for a while now and it’s been straightforward. I like that there’s no lock-in contract, and the prices are easy to understand without having to hunt around for the details. The receipts and emails I get are clear too, so I can actually see what I’m being charged for. So far there haven’t been any random extra fees, which is the main thing I was hoping for...

"Roaming worked, but it was a bit hit and miss"
I used amaysim international roaming on a short trip, and it was okay… not amazing, but not a disaster either :)
Getting it set up was easy, and I connected after landing without too much fuss. Texts came through fine, but the data was a bit patchy, slow in some areas and randomly dropping out here and there, which was a little annoying!
The price was decent compared to a few other options I looked at, but I do wish the coverage had been more reliable. Overall, it did the job, just felt average to me.

I’ve been with amaysim for a while now, and it’s been a easy choice. A mate put me onto it back when I was sick of paying too much, and it’s been good value for what I need. There’s enough data for my usual browsing, maps, and messages, and I haven’t had any surprise bills so far. It’s not trying to be anything fancy, but it’s cheap, simple, and works fine for me.

I cancelled my amaysim plan today and expected it to be a bit of a hassle, but it was surprisingly simple.
There was no long phone call, no awkward push to make me stay, and no confusing extra steps. I just followed the process and it was sorted quickly, then I got the confirmation afterwards.
I’ve had some frustrating cancellation experiences with other companies before, so this was a nice surprise. If I ever need a cheap SIM again, I’d definitely consider coming back...
